Are humans allowed at the computing device that controls the imaging device.

I understand human intervention is not allowed after placing the drawer/tray at the imaging station. However, are humans allowed to operate a computing device that controls the imaging station? Humans would be at the computer, monitoring the progress, adjusting parameters as necessary, but as required, no humans will handle specimens or drawers after it is placed. Is this within the competition rules.

Per the Prize Parameters, once the specimen drawer has been placed in the imaging station, direct contact with the specimens is not permitted, either via human intervention or the technology. Although an operator may be controlling the device, the ultimate goal for this technology is a device that can run much like a plane operates on autopilot.
